The group are requesting funding to host a series of family bingo evenings, movie nights and a celebration day for the King’s Coronation. We would also like to provide at least one eight week family homework and cooking on a budget programme where families can come straight from school, get support with completing their children’s homework and then cook dinner together with a shared meal at the end of the programme which they have cooked together. These activities will promote a healthy and active life style as well as offering fun activities for all ages and improve community well being.

Working in 2022 with members of the congregation together with clients of Crossreach 's Umbrella Project and pupils from Glebe Primary School, we have created the framework of a community garden in what was an unused and overgrown space within our grounds at the rear of the church hall.
However, we now need to build on what was achieved last year and great raised plant beds to to allow the less able bodied to participate and create seating areas to allow for social interaction.

We wish to improve our community’s overall health and wellbeing. Providing practical support as individuals not only continue to try and recover from the Coronavirus pandemic but also now strive to navigate their way through new challenges arising from the current cost of living crisis.
Through facilitating monthly “Community Sunday Afternoon Get Togethers” we wish to provide free access to help tackle both food and fuel poverty, whilst at the same time offering opportunities for inclusive activities. These inclusive activities will help to address some of the social isolation issues that many vulnerable members of our community are currently experiencing.
Funding requested: £800 to contribute towards the cost of food and drinks provision at the Get Togethers

We would like to develop our sporting skills by buying a range of sporting equipment and having training from qualified fitness instructors. To relax we would also like to have some TV/ movie nights in the centre which we need a television for. We would also like arts & crafts activities and party nights with food.

As our academy numbers grow substantially post COVID we are needing to replace our boards more often, these boards are very expensive and we go through a large amount throughout the year. We strongly believe that no child should go with out so we would like to purchase some darts that the youths can borrow whilst at the academy as well as more stems, flights, rings etc. We would also like to purchase some academy darts shirts for those that can't afford them so no child feels 'left out'.

The group works in partnership with Woodland View Hospital and have links with vulnerable elderly people in the community who benefit from the items we make.

This type of training will empower our learner to feel that they can achieve and have opportunities just like there peers. Some mentors have lived in experience. We would like cooking lessons and to buy hobs and ingredients allowing us to plan and cook a healthy menu promoting a healthy lifestyle with a focus on the rising cost of living. We would like a themed party night where the young people can develop important social and life skills such as planning and budgeting. The group is somewhere young people from the Springside area can come together each week and take part in fun activities, spending time with friends. We would also like to experience a new activity such as ski-ing at Newmilns Dry Ski Slope as well.

Our project is to teach basic life support (CPR) skills to people from across Irvine at events where we engage with the public and from our base at the beach park. We already do this in a limited capacity using CPR training dolls, but we would like to buy 20 sets so that we can teach bigger groups and take it into school.

We are in the process of completing our community café we would like to be able to offer good low cost food for people in the local area while providing opportunities for people with learning disabilities. Our aim is to create a warm welcoming café for all , provide opportunities for learning new skills for future independence and potential employment . We would hope that these skills include catering, growing of produce , front of house skills , computer advertising skills and social skills , spending time with the local community offering friendships and shared learning for all. We hope to operate a weekly drop in community café that there is a soup and sandwich delivered at a very minimal charge .
