SeaSalt Streets Pop-Up Events / Re-Building Community Spirit

1 comment glennturner50 Three Towns

SeaSalt Streets have, as part of their vision, a longing to bring life and vitality into Saltcoats and in particularly to the heart of the town centre. We have successfully completed most of the vision created by the group, a vision inspired through extensive public consultation with members of the local community and beyond. One part of the initial vision remains unfulfilled -- the use of pop-up events as a means of building community spirit and ownership, a series of "different" one-off events to inspire others to think out of the box and to bring people into the town centre thereby stimulating economic growth. The events will also be used as an opportunity for SeaSalt Streets to showcase their group, it's vision for the future and as a recruitment tool for new members.

I would like to set up a social group for adults that meets regularly at the Ardrossan Church of the Nazarene. This will provide a space and time for people to relax, socialise and have a bit of fun.

The money would fund archaeological work to oversee wetland creation at Ardeer Quarry LNR in Stevenston, making sure the project does not impact any undiscovered archaeological relics that might be there.

No comments 3tfm Three Towns

3TFM broadcasts programmes to the 3 Towns and beyond, from its base at the Frank Sweeney building in Ardrossan. We would like to upgrade some of our studio equipment to enable us to interview guests live on air, and to prerecord interviews. This would enable us to expand on our health and wellbeing output by producing more programmes containing health and wellbeing features with advice and information from local experts, and stories from local people.

As part of the Girlguiding family we help girls aged 4 - 7 to become more resilient through completing badgework from 6 different themes. We are well known in the area for the opportunities we give girls. We always try to source businesses locally who can provide a variety of experiences for our girls and make coming to Rainbows fun as well as in unit activities.
