Summary

The Flying Start Toddler Group is a registerd charity and is for families with children under three years, we operate in a safe and comfortable environment which  can  be accesed easily. We provide parent and child sessions to promote friendships and a sharing of experiences among adults, and activities to promote the wellbeing of babies and children. The group members have the opportunity to engage in activities that might not be available to them. The members benefit from companionship, support and social interaction and the opportunity to form new friendships.

The group is open three mornings per week, we use a large hall for active play and snack, small hall for activities and an early years room for baby activities and art and craft. We hold parties at  Easter, Halloween and Christmas and any special occassions. The cost for our members is £2 per family including a snack of tea, coffee, juice, crisps and  biscuits.  All our activities are free, this is possible through grants and awards to cover our core costs and activities.

Description

We are appying for support to allow us to provide Baby Sensory classes to our members.  Baby sensory is a fully interactive session which includes music, bubbles , puppets and sensory experiences.

By supporting the parents and carers to bond, form attachments and play with their child the child's health and wellbeing is improved and they thrive in a safe environment. This early intervention results in better outcomes for all. The babies and children have the opportunity to mix with children of their own age and stage of development and this leads to learning how to socially interact appropriately with others.

The sessions are open to all and are led by a professional in child development.

The classes cost £50 per session

Location: We are a registered charity that has been operating in the three towns for over thirty years. The group has a membership of over 120 families . We aim to provide a welcoming, safe, stimulating and warm environment where children, parents and carers will feel valued and supported. We aim to promote friendships and play skills for children and among the adults who care for them. We will promote adult and child interaction through various activities and experiences. We will encourage ownership of the group through consultation and participation in decision making.
