We are located next to stage 12 of the Ayrshire Coastal Path above the Meigle at Skelmorlie and some 3 miles North of Largs. The path is a single council maintained tarmac road. The project is to provide free use of our toilet facility and hot/cold drinks to any person be it individual, family or organised group as a means of promoting an active life style using this path for physical exercise, improvement in mental health and appreciation of the stunning coastal and hill scenery. We are open on Sundays from April to September 2023 other days/times by special request.

We would use the funding to take all the Pegasus group members on a trip to Blair Drummond Safari Park. This would be a real boost to the mental health and wellbeing of all the group members and provide an opportunity that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford. Going away on trips allows the group to bond closer together and link up with each other.

Our fleet of boats is in need repair with a purchase of more sails for our FEVA boats being the main purchase for the dinghies, there is also a need for handheld navigational equipment for our safety boats. This was highlighted in our latest safety review by the Royal yachting Association.

The costs for the items come to more than £1000, we will use club funds to make up the shortfall. We charge £60 per child for 15 sailing sessions throughout the year

After the success of last years information day with over 200 people attending we would like to hold another information day for over 55's in the community and tell them about the activities and services they can access in their area. We want to inform about the voluntary sector opportunities including specialised groups eg Age Scotland, Dementia Scotland etc. We want to provide entertainment and refreshments.

We wish to improve our community’s overall health and wellbeing. Providing practical support as individuals not only continue to try and recover from the Coronavirus pandemic but also now strive to navigate their way through new challenges arising from the current cost of living crisis.
Through facilitating monthly “Community Sunday Afternoon Get Togethers” we wish to provide free access to help tackle both food and fuel poverty, whilst at the same time offering opportunities for inclusive activities. These inclusive activities will help to address some of the social isolation issues that many vulnerable members of our community are currently experiencing.

Dance Mafia (DMF) have been very successful in all competitions they have entered, with some world champions in the group. We are a parents fundraising group who are looking for £1000 to enable the competitions accessible to all, regardless of their financial position. Competitions take place across the whole of Britain, and can be very expensive. DMF are a very community minded club who attend/help out at many community events including charity football events, and community events such as Christmas lights Switch on/Yuletide etc. If successful this funding will be used to subsidise competition fees, costumes, and provide dance workshops focussing on health and wellbeing.

The primary schools across the Isle of Arran provide a variety of lunchtime and after school clubs for all pupils across the island. Therefore, sports equipment is used frequently within timetabled classes, as well as the extra-curricular opportunities provided to pupils. To provide the young people on the island with beneficial physical activity experiences, we feel it's important that the equipment used is safe and reliable. In return, this will positively impact our young people's mental and physical health and wellbeing, whilst increasing confidence and communication skills, as well as giving the young people an opportunity to socialise with peers.
