As well as training the main band, they will also do sessions with beginners and intermediate players to gain an insight into professional pipe band playing. This experience will be beneficial for socially disadvantaged players who would not be able to afford an experience like this otherwise. There are also well known benefits to playing a music instrument for mental health and wellbeing.

This money would allow us to expand the resources and information we can offer to families involved. It would give us the opportunity to bring in external partners to share further information and benefit mental and wellbeing in households. It would allow us to provide more meaningful and relevant activities funding new resources. It would also give families an option to choose different topics where we could pull supportive services in to holistically support the whole family.
