Summary
Description
We would like some funding to run discos for special occasions throughout the year and also enough to run a tuckshop at the discos to help raise funds for the group. These discos will be ticketed to keep track of numbers but will be free for any young people to attend. The discos have previously been very well attended and provide a great opportunity for young people from across Irvine to come together and meet up.
Funds requested: £1000
West Coast Castles Hire - £200 per disco x 4 community events = £800 Tuckshop materials (sweets, juice crisps etc) - £200
Total - £1000
Location: Redburn Community Centre
Proposed on behalf of: The discos we have previously held in Redburn have been very well attended with over 200 participants and all the young people and families who attend get a really good sense of enjoyment and getting to know new people. All the young people who come are primary aged and activities like this provide an opportunity for them to get a break from their day-to-day life and relax with friends in a fun social environment, hopefully improving thier mental health and wellbeing.
