Description
This money would allow us to expand the resources and information we can offer to families involved. It would give us the opportunity to bring in external partners to share further information and benefit mental and wellbeing in households. It would allow us to provide more meaningful and relevant activities funding new resources. It would also give families an option to choose different topics where we could pull supportive services in to holistically support the whole family. This will promote positive and healthy wellbeing whilst promoting peer support within the community.

Proposed on behalf of: We are a families and child programme in a community setting where we work with parents/ carers and children looking at anxiety, emotions, and resilience in fun understandable ways. This programme is filled with fun games and activities that will support healthy wellbeing and further understanding of areas like stress, sadness, fear, joy, embarrassment, and excitement and how these emotions can affect the body. Games and activities that children and their parent/ carers can carry out together and take home with them and practice mindfulness together. This allows parents and carers to work with others building a social circle where the aim is to build a collective understanding of mental health, highlighting the effects it may have on families. This group provides a safe and supportive environment for the families involved. Working with parents/carers and their children allows the family to learn together to implement tools that work for their household.
