Saltcoats Outdoor Pool Splash

We want to reopen our tidal pool in Saltcoats which has been neglected for many years. A recent feasibility study has confirmed that this is possible. Outdoor swimming continues to be very popular and investing in our pool will promote outdoor swimming and other activities ensuring safe outdoor water activities for all. It will provide an opportunity to swim outdoors, have fun sessions in the pool and more. It will improve community health and wellbeing. Key to success is to widely promote our project to continue to gather community views. Engagement to date has been extremely positive.

Recent utility price rises are affecting us and we require additional funding to help pay these bills and perhaps to install LED lighting and insulation to reduce our energy consumption.

Triple Act- Theatre & Arts

We want to give our Adult Drama group a chance to perform a play for communities within the three towns. The group will create the show and it is to be directed by an external industry professional. We want to focus on the local area and all the enchanting stories North Ayrshire and the three towns has to offer. Our Adult Drama group give participants the chance to express themselves, promote the community and reap all the benefits the art s has on mental health and wellbeing.

Auchenharvie Musical Theatre group

Our group would use the funds to buy props and costumes for our young people who otherwise would be unable to buy these due to the cost of living crisis. These would be used in our school show which is due to take place in June 2023. Many of our young people will be unable to take part in the show if they have to buy their own costumes so this would eliminate this issue

This will be a project by young adults for young adults. It will bring them together in a safe space to work on technical/artistic ideas both individually and collaboratively. It will encourage participants to think creatively, discover new talents/skills and build confidence. The money would be used to purchase hardware, software, tools and equipment to facilitate this project in its early stages. Some ideas could possibly range from 3D design and printing to a world changing invention!

Ardrossan Parent Council

We would like to host a fun, social transition disco/team-building event for all primary 7's coming to join us at Ardrossan Academy in the new school year. This would create a more relaxed opportunity for the young people to link up before they formally join the secondary community. There is huge value in the traditional transition days, however we are proposing a more relaxed and enjoyable experience to help ease the process and allow the children to experience the community feel rather than just classes.

Cafe Solace (Ardrossan)

Our project will run from April 2023 to March 2024 and will involve a group of participants who will meet weekly to plan activities and excursions together. We would like to organise a free community open day at Ardrossan Winton Park for ALL families within the local community during the Summer Holidays. The event will have an inflatable assault course, bouncy castle, bubble soccer, sports day themed event etc. Entry and participation will be free for everyone and will bring families together to enjoy some quality time together whilst promoting social inclusion, health and well being.
