We are a local charity who would like £1,000 to provide empowering Personal Safety training and counselling to female survivors of violence (rape, sexual assaults, domestic violence, etc.) in our Barony St John Centre and in local schools to decrease the impact of school bullying and increase pupils' self confidence.

Personal Safety workshops for Ardrossan Boys Brigade, Ardrossan Girl Guides, Ardrossan Air Cadets £300
Counsellor for trauma victims - 2hrs per person, 4hrs per week over 30 weeks = 120hrs @ £25p/h = £3,000
Personal Safety books for 10 victims @ £5 each £50

Proposed on behalf of: We provide empowering Personal Safety training to various vulnerable groups including children and youths. Our training decreases school bullying, increases self confidence, decreases anxiety levels and decreases social isolation - all of which improves mental health and resilience. The self defence aspect of our training allows participants to become fitter over time and lead healthy, active lives.
