We are a girl-guiding unit for girls aged 14-18. The group currently consists of nine girls who have been dedicated to girl guiding since they were 5 years old. The girls follow a programme of skill-builder badges in themes such as camping, communication and first aid. Our programme of interest badges, skill builders and awards support these young women to try new things, travel the world and develop skills across our six themes. Many of the girls are young leaders for local rainbows and brownies and are working on building their CVs for their future careers. Rangers is about taking the lead and finding new challenges. It can be seen as a rare sight to see young people engaged in helping their community and we wish to continue seeking opportunities to help the girls grow. This group of girls have excelled as role models to the young girl-guiding community from helping with trips to inspiring them to be themselves. The girls have been allowed to advocate for the issues in the world around them and educate future generations. This is only possible with funding to develop these ambitious and driven young women.

Our Fun time Playground

We have spoken to the kids of woodlands and they would like to have the playground markings renewed as they have all worn away. They want more activites added so we can play more out side sports for their mental well being and with keeping active.

Ardrossan Parent Council

We are a small group of parents and carers of children attending Ardrossan Academy.  We enjoy supporting the pupils in school and supporting other activities. Following the success of last year's transition events, we would like to continue with the 'Good Start Gift Bag', potted sports event and disco. Funding would be used to purchase school essentials for every pupil entering S1, as well as the costs of two events; equipment, medals, dj, refreshments, decorations. Please vote for us to support our children and young people.

Eglinton Growers Allotments would like to apply for funds to host two free events for the local community , an Easter Egg Hunt and a Santas Grotto in 2024. This will be an excellent way of bringing the community and the allotments together and show casing what is available on our site whilst providing free famility fun, invaluable in a cost of living crisis. 2023'a Easter egg hunt was an amazing success with the event providing free Easter treats for 100 children (check out our FB page photos of the joyful photos of the children taking part). and a  Xmas event due to take place in Dec 20223. We believe its important to invite local families to our beautiful site, especially in the current economical crisis for them to enjoy free family fun days without the financial worry, enabling those who simply could not afford a family day of fun with their children/granchildren within their local area.

North Ayrshire Active Girls Committee is a new group made up of young females from all localities in North Ayrshire. As a group we focus on empowering young females through sport and leadership.  Our Key Principles are:  <ul> <li>Valuing Girls' Voices </li> <li>Promoting Peer Role Models </li> <li>Co-creating Projects </li> <li>Celebrating Unstoppable Girls </li> </ul> Through following these key principles we hope to have the impact that young girls and females in sport can feel that they have a voice within their community, help make decisions in sport and feel unstoppable. Furthermore, we aim for this committee to help increase: <ul> <li>Increased opportunities to participate in sport and physical activity</li> <li>Improved access to leadership opportunities and roles in school and community sport</li> <li>Greater recognition of the power of girls to motivate and inspire their peers and more opportunities to do so</li> <li>Enhanced knowledge and understanding of workforce delivering PE, sport and physical activity to girls and young women</li> </ul>

Garnock Valley Youth Forum

We are applying for this fund to help young people within the Garnock Valley who attend Youth Groups in relation to food poverty and the cost of living crisis. We hope that by providing young people with filling snacks and meals their health and wellbeing will be better. Most young people are being affected by the cost of living crisis and we hope that by securing funding to provide food we can help young people in our community.

Young Ambassadors Programme

At the heart of the Young Ambassador programme is our principle that our views, and those of other young people are heard, valued and influence decision making; and that they are engaged in driving sporting change in our school and in the community. In this context our Young Ambassador role has two key bits: <ul> <li style="margin-bottom:11px">to promote sport, and motivate and inspire other young people to get involved in sport in a wide range of settings within their local communities, including schools, clubs and community organisations</li> <li style="margin-bottom:11px">to influence six key aspects of school sport:  <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li style="margin-bottom:11px">extra-curricular sport provision</li> <li style="margin-bottom:11px">links to community sport opportunities</li> <li style="margin-bottom:11px">opportunities for extra- curricular competition </li> <li style="margin-bottom:11px">celebration of young people achievements in sport</li> <li style="margin-bottom:11px">leadership opportunities for young people</li> </ul> </li> </ul> As role models and leaders for other young people, Young Ambassadors can have a pivotal role within their school and wider community. We have a Young Ambassador comittee in each school and it is pupil lead and supported by school staff and Active Schools Staff.

Kilwimbeldon Tennis Club

We wish to apply for funding to purchase new tennis nets, rackets and balls to enhance our new Tennis courts that are nearly at the completion stage. Over the years we have successfully ran tennis summer camps at the club with the small pop up nets on our astro turf. The camps have always been busy and the particapants have had a great time. The funding will allow us to invest in new equiptment for the community to use during the year as we will now run a year long tennis programme. The new courts will be the only tennis courts in Kilwinning and are bound to be a hit given our past track record of delievering successfull projects. we are in the process of forming a constitued Tennis Club who will use this funding to go from strenght to strength.
