The funding will be used to support families who are struggling to pay the monthly fees for their children due to financial constraints. Our monthly fees are minimal and the only reason we able do this is because of the volunteer coaches, however we are aware of families who are heavily impacted by the increase in the cost of living. Therefore, this money will be used to take the pressure off identified families as we do not want any child to be excluded from having access to being part of a team and keeping fit mentally and physically.
Requested Amount: £1000
£300 towards subsidising or fully purchasing football kit for struggling families. £700 covering or part covering monthly fees for identified families.

Our new TOT sessions will focus on using our local green spaces to grow fruit and vegetables and allow people to link up and tackle post COVID social isolation. By growing and sharing our produce we will help tackle climate change, the Cost-of-Living crisis and promote healthy and active communities. I would like to run an art club in partnership with the North Ayrshire Foodbank. Since November I have been providing arts and crafts sessions every week at the Foodbank's warm hub, which have been increasingly popular. Sadly, the funding is being pulled and so the people I've been working will no longer have these free sessions to attend, which was part of their weekly routine. I would use the money to run a weekly art club within the Foodbank, which would teach various practical skills, but also aim to build self-confidence, self-worth, and reduce social isolation.
The North Ayrshire Foodbank have said that if i received the Arts and Culture funding then they would enter partnership with me and provide an additional £400 to run the project.

We’re continuing to develop our community garden which after a year of development now has raised beds for food-growing for the Village Larder. Our social gardeners successfully grew food from a pop-up for the larder last year whilst developing the community garden. Growing food together is educational, brings people together socially to exercise outdoors. Growing for the larder encourages community engagement and purpose, it provides a source of healthy produce for people on lower incomes. Developing other areas of the garden to provide a restful, communal green space will encourage more volunteer-engagement,and is good for mental and physical health.

KSC – Youth Football Section would like £1000 towards the provision of essential equipment for our 17 young football teams.
Our football kit/ football-boot exchange ensures equipment is recycled. As any parent knows, the cost of kit, particularly football-boots is expensive. Our young people grow so fast, new boots are sometimes purchased and replaced several times a season.
By continuing to offer an equipment exchange, used boots & kit will continue to be stored and available to individuals and teams that need them thus keeping overall costs down. This positive and proactive approach from us helps to combat poverty and inequality.
Amount Requested: £1000
Sports Equipment - £1000

The sewing machines we have been using are old and well used. Unfortunately, we have some machines in need of repair which would cost too much. Our group is well attended by users and non-users alike. The funds we are requesting are to purchase new sewing machines and equipment for the group. This will allow us to continue to provide sewing advice and training for the community. Not only this we provide opportunities for people to come together to socialise, participate in group and individual activities and also promote good mental wellness.
