Summary
Description
The sewing machines we have been using are old and well used. Unfortunately, we have some machines in need of repair which would cost too much. Our group is well attended by users and non-users alike. The funds we are requesting are to purchase new sewing machines and equipment for the group. This will allow us to continue to provide sewing advice and training for the community. Not only this we provide opportunities for people to come together to socialise, participate in group and individual activities and also promote good mental wellness.

Proposed on behalf of: Following on from the social isolation experienced during the pandemic, our project provides the opportunity for people with similar interests, to meet up to practise their sewing or crafting as a group, socialising, supporting and encouraging each other. We can also involve the community e.g. by providing items that can be used for raffles, to meet a need e.g. babies hats for premature new-born's etc.
