I myself am not a regular user of the library but frequently visit with my partner who is disabled and would be severely impacted by closing for more than half the week. She currently uses the library throughout the week and at the weekend to get books and socialise. She is not always able to use the bus and would struggle to access Irvine library in the same way, so the reduction in hours would be harmful.
