As a club we are always trying to improve the opportunities available to the children however we are constantly coming up against financial barriers due to the rising costs of hiring pitches, referee fees, coaches education and general equipment. We are currently raising money to take the team to a football tournament in Blackpool during the easter weekend 2024 which is a 3 night stay including 2 days of football for the children. This is a great opportunity for the team to socialise and have a weekend with their family and friends whilst playing competitive football. Being accepted for this grant would help us reach our target ensuring that no boy misses out due to the cost for their family. The club are trying to cover the cost of the boys to reduce the amount that families need to pay however if we manage to raise more then we can reduce the costs further for families.
Cost of tournament fee - £140
Cost of accommodation for players - £2588
Cost of accommodation including parents - £6628

West Kilbride Primary Parent Council Uniform Shop
2023-09-11 • No comments • • North Coast
This is a Community ran FREE pre-loved uniform shop for all those attending West Kilbride Primary School.
Our aim is to help anyone needing access to free school uniforms, no questions asked.
A huge benefit of using pre loved clothes is that you are helping the environment. Children grow so fast that there is a high turnover of school uniforms with some having to be replaced with a bigger size at the start of each term! By donating or using the pre-loved facility you are helping the environment.
Donations of clean, good condition school uniforms, shoes, trainers, wellies, school-bags & jackets are currently accepted however a lot of the time we don't have sizes/items requested and we would love to be able to help anyone that approaches us for help with primary school uniform. All donations are washed and ironed before being sent out if they are not brand new.
All enquiries are treated in the strictest confidence so people can be confident that their enquiry or request will be kept confidential.
We looking to find new items including underwear, pants, socks and tights. Along with warm winter jackets/waterproof shoes/boots as we enter the winter season.
We estimate £1000 would give us a great basis to work from and enable us to restock throughout the next year when we hold our pop up shops at parents nights at the school.
The cost of living Crisis is still greatly affecting local families and this helps parents and carers ease their financial worries over clothing their children for school.

The under 14's girls team is newly established. It already has 22 girls who have joined and the numbers are continuing to climb. Due to the team being newly established we need to ensure we have the essential items for the girls to feel they are truly part of a team/club.
We hope to use the funding for:
22 x Training strips £660.00
22 x Rain Jackets £572
We will be creating fundraising events to make up the additional costs.

Showtime Youth Theatre
2023-09-10 • No comments • • Irvine
The money would be used to put on a Theatre Show in March 2024 to assist with costumes, props and scenery.
The young people gain experience with performing and working together which builds their mental and physical wellbeing, communication and teamwork skills and builds confidence and trust. Most importantly they mix all of these skills with having fun and growing together. The Showtime Youth Theatre assists young people to express themselves; gain confidence with public activities and ensures that nursery, primary and secondary school young people interact and the culmination of learning songs, dances and acting skills creates a fantastic performance.
The young people are working very hard every week to learn their new dances/routines and whilst we have auditions for the lead parts, all young people have an active and inclusive part to play whether it is in acting, dancing, singing or drama. This builds not only confidence but also maintains positive mental and physical wellbeing and entertains the people of Ayrshire whilst being a fun activity. One main aim is the development of our young people and to watch them grow throughout the years but we also wish for our local community in Ayrshire to thrive and we therefore try to source and support our local businesses as much as we can.
The Showtime Youth Theatre is an integral part of Irvine life as the young people participate in Marymass, put on shows at Fullarton Connexions, for the Ayrshire Hospice and sing Christmas Carols within local Supermarkets. The young people also learn the value of team work, kindness, community spirit and about the Irvine locality when they bag pack and fundraise in local shops and supermarkets.
Through participating in a show and working on their group activities and then as a whole team together, the young people gain many skills from teamwork to trust to understanding others and working at different paces to reach their end goal, showing how hard work and participation gives achievement and puts on a fantastic show which is fun and benefits them.
The main benefactors of the funding are the young people but it is also the Instructors and friends and family who get to enjoy all the hard work when they see the performances and smiles on the faces.

Hayocks Primary School Parent Council

We as a Parent Council feel that since lockdown during the pandemic that its more important now than ever that children get to socialise and mix with other children and parties are the perfect opportunity for them to do this, as this ensures that the children and young people to have the opportunity to lead a healthy and active life. We would get the children involved within the planning of the parties so that they're voices are being heard and what their preferences are. the money we are applying for would be spent on as follows:
- Hall to hold the parties and events - £90 x3
- Decorations because a party isn't complete without decorations - £310
- Entertainment - £200
- Catering - £70 x3
With the cost of living crisis people aren't able to have parties or children aren't able to attend parties with the lack of funds within families so if we are able to take the stress away for some parents and support the mental well being of the children in the community then we would love to do so. Our aim is to have a Valentines party for the children in February, Easter party in April and then a halloween party in October next year.

1st Largs Boys Brigade Summer Camp
2023-09-10 • No comments • • North Coast
We want to be able to give all our Company and Senior Boys' the opportunity to attend and by gaining some funding we can reduce the overall cost to our parents and carers.
Our Camp is being organised by North Ayrshire Boys' Brigade Battalion and costs £300 per person. This includes camping accommodation, all food and drinks, a football stadium tour, Alton Towers Theme Park, a visit to Blackpool which includes a visit to the tower.
Any funding allows us to lower the cost for all our young people and give them a fantastic experience and opportunity.
Garnock Valley Youth Forum

The reason we are applying for Youth PB this time is to help people during this cost of living crisis and help young people in the Garnock Valley who are affected by food poverty.
We are applying for funding to stock up the kitchen cupboards in our project with food for the youth groups that run in the Garnock Valley. Such as ourselves the Youth Forum, Dalry P7 transition group, Kilbirnie P7 transition group and the S1 post transition groups. Each group would benefit from nutritional and filling snacks and meals. Some particpants may not have much food at home due to the cost of living crisis and food poverty in the area. Particpants might also not have the time to go home afterschool and eat before the groups due to transport issues within the area or because the group starts straight afterschool so they rely on the food provided within the group to fill them up.
We would do a bulk order through a local supplier each month such as Reids and the food would be distributed at each group.
A rough breakdown of costs would be;
£200 for frozen food such as Burgers, burger rolls and pizzas.
£400 for perishable goods that would be bought weekly such as salad, fruit, vegetables and cheese.
£175 for Pasta, pasta sauces, cooking sauces, hotdogs and bread rolls.
£50 for diliuting and fruit juices.
£175 for other food items for young people with dietry requirements.
We would like to apply for the full amount we can £1000 so that we can provide food for as long as possible to each group.

5th Dreghorn Brownies and Guides

Team building helps to build skills that are useful for the girls now but also skills the girls can take into their adult lives. Team building helps to develop problem solving skills, bring out leadership qualities, encourage creative thinking, as well as helping to improve listening qualities in girls. Girls have a tough time as teenagers as well as preteens so even small wins boost self esteem and develop self confidence. The range of activities also help to show that not every girl has the same set of skills but every girl has a skill. This would be a great opportunity to help develop empathy as where one girl excels in one activity she may struggle with another. These are all skills that are important not just for now but for later in life, we as guiding leaders try to develop these qualities week to week however days out like this allow the girls to express their self and really show what they are made of, what they are good at and what they would like to be good at.
Costs
Cost per girl/leader - £25.00
24 Brownies - 24 Guides - 6 Leaders - £1321.20
Team building badge - £0.60
48 Badges - £28.80
Total cost - £1350.00

The children of Woodlands Primary have taken a vote and decided that they would like to have our markings in the playgound renewed as most have worn away. When speaking with them they have spoken out to wanting more activites that they can do within the sports element, this way it helps keeping them healthy by being active which also helps in the mental well being.
The kids have asked for Netball court to be painted as well as other amazing educational markings and games that could help with the younger end of the school.
We are still waiting to hear from contractors for the pricing and costs for the paint and labour to make this amazing project possible for the kids at Woodlands Primary
