Summary
To support the children's mental health and well-being we are looking to purchase outdoor equipment to encourage outdoor play. This will have a positive impact physically and mentally for the children and will allow a more fun approach to learning.
We would also like to put £150 towards to cost of free school discos for all the children to attend and enjoy.
Description
Following discussion with the children they would like to promote their health and well-being and encourage outdoor play. They would like to build better relationships with their peers through team building exercises and find that through outdoor play this could be achieved.
The children also love a school disco. The PTA always thrive to make these a free event that children can attend to meet their friends outwith school. A free snack and drink is always provided.
Below are details of how the grant would be spent:
Football nets x 2 - £325
Footballs x 10 - £125
Outdoor equipment such as skipping ropes, basket ball nets, bats and balls, hop scotch, ankle slippers, chalk, frisbees etc - £400
School discos - £150
Location: St John Ogilvie PTA is a group of parents who continuously fundraise for the children of the school. Fundraising through the PTA is important now more than ever as a result of the cost of living crisis. We regularly fundraise to allow for free discos, money towards school trips, outdoor play equipment, Christmas presents for children as well as many other things.
