It would give us the opportunity to bring in external partners to share further information and benefit mental and wellbeing in households. It would allow us to provide more meaningful and relevant activities funding new resources. It would also give families an option to choose different topics where we could pull supportive services in to holistically support the whole family. The primary schools across the Isle of Arran provide a variety of lunchtime and after school clubs for all pupils across the island. Therefore, sports equipment is used frequently within timetabled classes, as well as the extra-curricular opportunities provided to pupils. To provide the young people on the island with beneficial physical activity experiences, we feel it's important that the equipment used is safe and reliable. In return, this will positively impact our young people's mental and physical health and wellbeing, whilst increasing confidence and communication skills, as well as giving the young people an opportunity to socialise with peers.
