The funding will allow us to buy much needed resources for the group. This would encourage more young people attend and tackle social isolation in this rural village which has a massive effect on mental health and contributes to stress, anxiety.
By purchasing new resources will encourage members of the group to continue to attend as well as attracting new members, to participate in calming activities to tackle and combat any stress and anxiety they may be feeling.
We are looking to reduce the young peoples stress and anxiety in the locality as well as promoting diversity and social inclusion.

We would use this fantastic funding to buy gardening and growing resources for out Time Out Tuesdays Group (TOT) based at Redburn Community hub. Our new TOT sessions will focus on using our local green spaces to grow fruit and vegetables and allow people to link up and tackle post COVID social isolation. By growing and sharing our produce we will help tackle climate change, the Cost-of-Living crisis and promote healthy and active communities. TOT will promote positive MH&W by providing nature based activities for all ages with a focus on taking some time out, relaxing and recharge.

Research and anecdotal evidence show that robotic pets helps people living with Dementia on multiple levels. 1 A reduction in anxiety, agitation, stress, and depression and an enhanced sense of wellbeing 2 Improved social interaction and communication with family /caregivers. 3 The ability to self-soothe with a safe activity that does not require close supervision. 4 The resurrection of happy memories of former beloved pets, or other times that gave them pleasures 5 Reduction in the need for anti-psychotic medication.

Our project is an extra curricular Organic Gardening Club focusing on growing our own fruit and vegetables in a sustainable way within our primary school grounds. This helps our mental health and well being, has created strong links within the wider community leading to other creative opportunities, helps break down barriers to participation and we are learning so much about wildlife habitats and the importance of our pollinators. We would like to develop our project and group by purchasing materials to filled our raised beds which are lying empty in time for this years growing season.
