  • £30,000 to support Community Wealth Building applications up to £2000.

You may submit an application to the Community Wealth Building Fund in addition to either Locality or Youth PB this year, but it must be for a different project.

If you have any questions, we'd love to see you at a launch event where we'll be supporting you to navigate the website, create an account, troubleshoot applications and generally answer any of your queries.

How to vote

Youth PB voting is restricted to young people only, and you'll be able to vote at school or in another youth space using either your 16 digit Young Scot number (as your username and password), or temporary login information shared by a teacher or North Ayrshire Council worker. To cast your vote:

  • Log in to the site
  • Select the locality (the area) that you live  in below. You will only be able to vote in one area, so make sure you click on the right one!
  • Each locality has a funding pot allocated based on population. Your vote will determine how this funding is distributed between the projects in your area.
  • Review all of the projects in your area to decide which three you would most like to see funded.
  • To cast your vote, select your favourite three projects from the list in your locality and click 'Submit Ballot'.

Find out more about participatory budgeting

Participatory Budgeting (PB) is a democratic process that gives local people the power to decide how public sector money is spent. This can be by deciding on how grants are distributed; having a say in how services work in an area; and ultimately influencing decisions at a local authority level by voting on projects that communities would like to see happen in their local area. You can find out more about PB in Scotland here: https://pbscotland.scot/
