Understanding the criteria for PB

Before you apply for PB funding, it's important that you read and understand the criteria for the fund you are applying for. You can find this at the bottom of the page under the table.

Your application will be checked against this criteria before the public vote opens, and any applications that do not meet the criteria will be removed from the process. 

There are 3 funds open in the 2025 round of PB:

• Locality PB
• Youth PB
• Community Wealth Building PB

The table below provides a high level overview of the differences between each fund, but we strongly advise downloading and reading the criteria in full for each fund before you apply.

Applying to more than one fund	You may only apply to Locality or Youth PB You may submit an application to CWB PB in addition to either Locality or Youth PB, but this must be for a different project
Excluded costs (full breakdown in criteria)	Routine maintenance and repairs; routine running costs such as staff salaries, ongoing rent costs, day to day insurace, utility costs
Project start date	From mid-late December 2025 onwards: please do not plan for PB being allocated in time for any Christmas events for 2025!
Spend and reporting deadline	12 months from date of funding being allocated
