The funding would be used to purchase an additional upright&nbsp;glass fronted freezer, Countertop Food Display Unit, for the free pastries we receive, lable maker,&nbsp;and Individual Aprons / fleece for our volunteers.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p>The Community Garden was established during lockdown when we were able to work outdoors and socialy distance.</p> <p>Over the last 3 years we have welcomed many visitors, gained new trustees, work&nbsp;with various groups including the schools, hosting and organising events.</p> <p>We grow produce which goes back to the community helping with the cost of living.</p> <p>We offer teas and coffees and&nbsp;plenty chat as the last three years have had a devastating &nbsp;effect on people&#39;s mental heath and wellbeing.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Enhance existing Community Garden&nbsp;on entry to Largs, create new focal point for Seasonal Displays and signage advising of what&#39;s happening in Largs&nbsp;</p> <p>Community garden located at corner of Irvine Road and Googoside Road is a highly visual prominent&nbsp;focal point on the way into central Largs viewed by locals and visitors&nbsp;</p> <p>Garden is looked after and maintained by Community Council and brings a great deal of happyiness and wellbeing to those driving or walking past</p> <p>In recent years Seasonal Displays have significantly added to the visual impact : Chistmas tree &amp; snowman, Easter bunny &amp; chick, Halloween witch,cats &amp; bats,&nbsp;Rememberance poppy and Viking warriers&nbsp;&nbsp;- Intent is to provide an enhanced display area by moving existing hanging basket frame and installing new metal frame to secure displays onto as well as installing ducting for lighting cables and slabs for easy access to display&nbsp;area</p> <p>In addition install signage to promote Largs Community Council and notify public of &quot;What&#39;s Going On&quot; in Largs thoughout the year (sign to have changeable notice board section)</p>

Healing Hearts North Ayrshire Bereavement Group

<p>Applying for funds to continue to offer the Healing Hearts North Ayrshire Bereavement Support Group, based at Kilwinning Library on a Friday from 12.30pm - 2.30pm (exc public holidays).</p> <p>The group was established as part of the Connecting Communities&nbsp;Project, a partnership with Cruse, Cruse Scotland and Co-op, however with funding ending in December 2023, the group are at threat of closure. A number of the group&#39;s participants are keen to transfer the group to a constituted&nbsp;group, volunteering&nbsp;for roles in the committee.&nbsp; These participants have relevant experience in these roles and have created their constitution and are in the process of opening a bank account.&nbsp;</p>

This fund would allow us to prepare healthy, nutricious &quot;ready meals&quot; for individuals removing the worry of the cost of cooking. Given that winter is approaching, families will have to choose whether to heat or cook and by having this offer, it lessens the stress of the worry.</span></span></span></p>

<p>Dalry BurnsClub has been in existance for almost 200 years, starting in Dalry in 1825</p> <p>for&nbsp; many&nbsp;years we have been promoting not only, the works of Robert Burns&nbsp;The Scottish language, Scottish music, but the hertitage of the community. eg</p> <p>donating &pound;800 to Dalry Girls football team for new kit...&pound;200 to Dalry Action group for new Christmas Lights, We are well known in the town for sponsoring both Primary Schools in the town each year Annual schools&nbsp; Burns&nbsp; songs and recitation competitions ,&nbsp;&nbsp;as well as the Dalry Nursery School &pound;300 for new books</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
