Over 50s Club

No comments Joanne Garnock Valley

We are a small group of pensioners who meet in Bridgend Community Centre every Tuesday afternoon to have Tea/Coffee and a chat , we also play chocolate bingo and do some quizzes. We also like to take them out on the occasional trip and a wee meal . To some of these pensioners most of whom are in their 80s, this is the only time they spend with other people and it helps with their mental health and wellbeing.

Breaking Down Barriers to Aikijutsu for Garnock Valley Children

No comments Karen B Garnock Valley

Purchase a stock of children's Aikijutsu equipment — suits (gi) in a range of sizes, boxing gloves, and bokken (wooden practice swords) — to loan or gift to children whose families can't afford to buy their own kit. This removes the upfront cost barrier stopping some local children from joining or staying in the class.
