Summary
Community Day in McGavin Park in August to promote local clubs and services. Family based to provide a family community day towards the end of the summer holidays which is practical and affordable. Entertainment on stage, Uncle Billy providing kids shows, Crazy Golf, Try it Sessions provided by 3 local churches.
Description
Picnic in the Park event is a family day out event with the equipment for the event aimed for little ones up to 13 years with an array of inflatables and three kids ride. Some of the equipment is suitable for older children and adults. We are not trying to be a theme park, just a place where the family can come for the day out, enjoy some inflatables, the parks play equipment, crazy golf, music on stage and some try it sessions. Community information stalls also sharing information plus face painting.

based on 2026 costs These are the base costs of the event, the group fundraises, charges for some stalls and has a bucket collection to cover the remaining costs outwith the PB application
