Pennyburn Parent Council - Children equality first

No comments Pennyburn Primary Parent Council Kilwinning

We are looking to secure funding which will be used to support the pupils and families of Pennyburn Primary School & Early Years. The funding will be used for transport costs which will allow pupils to attend events mainly the annual festive pantomime. Securing this funding will ensure that we can remove the costs for local families during the cost of living period we find ourselves in. We want to make sure no child misses out in 2024, equality for every child!

Developing Football

No comments Ardeer Primary School Parent Council Three Towns

As a Parent Council, we are working hard to fundraise to support the pupils at Ardeer Primary, with a focus on physical health and wellbeing. The children have access to a grassy field for football but we want to support them by providing goals and corner flags for their games. The hope is this encourages more children to participate in football both in and out of school.

Our football team plays a crucial role in promoting health, wellbeing and social inclusion and ensures the boys have a focus which supports them to make positive decisions. We promote healthy choices as a team and as a result of this many of the boys have joined the gym and attend regularly to keep improving their fitness levels and socialise with one another. Being a part of our team has helped reduce social barriers for these boys and ensure they have a sense of belonging.

Garnock Rugby Club Junior Section

No comments Gillian Duffy Garnock Valley

We would like to purchase equipment and help towards the costs the club incurs to hire alternative training facilities during the winter months. This will encourage young people to continue with physical activity all year round. We strive to keep our membership costs as low as possible so that the sport can be as inclusive as possible. Seeking funding contributes towards this.

Dalry Parent Council - Uniform Swap Shop

No comments alysonmiller38 Garnock Valley

We have been running our Uniform Swap Shop at Dalry Primary for a few years which is a way to reduce the cost of living for our local community. As well as a benefit to the local community, it also saves money and helps the environment! We understand the importance of a school uniform for children's self-confidence and a sense of belonging to a community. We are looking for funds to add to our resources for the swap shop and in turn, being able to match all requests for support to any family.

Movie Club

The young members of our Millport Youth Club expressed their wishes for us to host movie afternoons and evenings over the winter months. We are a relatively new Project. We opened youth club last November and have 45 young members registered for free membership with us. This includes Free Juice and Snacks on club days and night and free accessible activities with a youth led approach. We host Youth Club from our local DA Hall on a regular weekly basis and is proving popular.
