We are looking to hold a gala day in Dalry to bring the community of garnock valley together to celebrate the Kings coronation.

The group are requesting funding to host a series of family bingo evenings, movie nights and a celebration day for the King’s Coronation.  We would also like to provide at least one eight week family homework and cooking on a budget programme where families can come straight from school, get support with completing their children’s homework and then cook dinner together with a shared meal at the end of the programme which they have cooked together. These activities will promote a healthy and active life style as well as offering fun activities for all ages and improve community well being.

We would like to develop fundraising activities from our office space. This will help us to achieve our goal of restored woodland and carbon capture on the Isle of Arran. Our fundraising events and sales will be educational and accessible. We will encourage people to engage with the environment in a positive way.

We would like to develop our sporting skills by buying a range of sporting equipment and having training from qualified fitness instructors. To relax we would also like to have some TV/ movie nights in the centre which we need a television for. We would also like arts & crafts activities and party nights with food.

We are a new youth group and are starting from scratch and would like to build up some arts & craft resources and sports equipment such as a table tennis table.  We would also like a speaker and projector and screen to allow us to have discos, movie nights or quizzes.  These activities will allow us to have fun with our friends in a safe space away from school and home.

Our group would use the funds to buy props and costumes for our young people who otherwise would be unable to buy these due to the cost of living crisis.  These would be used in our school show which is due to take place in June 2023.  Many of our young people will be unable to take part in the show if they have to buy their own costumes so this would eliminate this issue

We would use the funding to take all the Pegasus group members on a trip to Blair Drummond Safari Park. This would be a real boost to the mental health and wellbeing of all the group members and provide an opportunity that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford. Going away on trips allows the group to bond closer together and link up with each other.

The funding will allow us to buy much needed resources for the group. This would encourage more young people to attend and tackle social isolation in this rural village which has a massive effect on  mental health and contributes to stress, anxiety.

By purchasing new resources that will encourage members of the group to return as well as attract new members. 

We are looking to reduce the young peoples stress and anxiety in the locality as well as promoting diversity and social inclusion.
