Alongside many individuals who use the West Kilbride Library, it is an important part of my daily and weekly activities. Any reduction in opening hours would seem a dismal method to save a few pounds from the Council budget. Surely there are more creative ways to reduce costs that shave a few pennies from a stretched Library service and miniscule budget. A reduction in Council Senior Management costs would seem a good starting point for cost savings!
I hope as an individual member of the Library that my personal satisfaction with the Library is noted as excellent. The proposed reduction in opening hours and service will have a negative effect on my mental health and well being, as I enjoy the interaction with fellow library users and members of staff.

Over the years West Kilbride Library in particular has faced closure. Now reduced hours. So disappointed, a real treasure for our community.
