The proposed changes to Kilwinning library hours would have no impact for me. I am retired and can get to the library easily most days. I think it is good that the library will be open longer on Saturday mornings which will be helpful to many people. I have just learned that although Kilwinning hours are hardly changing, staff numbers will be cut and staff on temporary contracts will be dismissed, That is not going to be a good thing for the future of this library and others in North Ayrshire. I realise that savings have to be made, but surely libraries should be a priority.

Used to seeing staff - ladies losing jobs. Others having to apply to keep their jobs.
I can come down and sit in and read. I do not necessarily take book's but read in here.

I don’t know the details of the proposed changes but as I am retired I am sure I will be able to still access the library.
As an occasional user, just need to be aware of the new hours

As a community resource the library is a hub which should be available to all. Closing at 4pm is discriminatory to those who are working 9-5
Tuesday is handy as I can call in on way home from work (finishing just after 5pm normally)
