<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif"><span style="font-size:10.5pt"><span style="background:white"><span style="font-family:&quot;Segoe UI&quot;,sans-serif"><span style="color:#666666">The Play Leaders, supported by the Parent Council, are requesting &pound;1000 to purchase play and sporting equipment so they can provide a variety of free and accessible extracurricular opportunities during and after school.&nbsp; As a Rights Respecting Gold School, we consistently advocate pupil voice and participation in the planning and delivery of events, improvements and decision making. &nbsp;The Play Leaders consulted over 200 children who advised health and wellbeing, well-resourced clubs and improvements to the playground are a top priority. &nbsp;Therefore they wish to purchase equipment which will enable them to deliver a diverse programme of play and sporting activities and encourage wider pupil participation.&nbsp; In addition to physical skills, participating children will develop skills in communication, determination, resilience and motivation. &nbsp;The Play Leaders also recognise the significance of leading a healthy and active lifestyle and aim to inspire other children to do so by encouraging them to take part in fun, physical, well-resourced and organised games and activities in a safe and nurturing environment throughout the day.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

<p style="margin-bottom:11px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:107%">Garnock Valley Sports Leaders are a group of pupils who train in upskilling ourselves to go out into local primaries and secondary to provide sporting opportunities in the local area. As a group we want to be able to provide young people in our community with quality equal opportunities to take part in sport. We believe that this can promote healthy mental and physical wellbeing among these young people. Through leading these extra curriculum clubs, it helps boost young people&rsquo;s overall physically activity to help meet the government&rsquo;s guidance of 60 minutes a day.&nbsp;It teaches the young people the benefits of physical activity as well as how it can improve mental wellbeing.</span></span></span></span></span></p> <p style="margin-bottom:11px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:107%">We also hope that in providing new sporting opportunies for young peole that they may be able to find one the enjoy or love. Through this we will be able to sign post to local clubs in the area to help add to a sense of community and spirit.</span></span></span></span></span></p>

<p>We are looking to secure funding which will be used to support the pupils of Whitehirst Park Primary&nbsp;school. Funding will be used for transport, which will allow pupils to attend sporting events and events involving the arts (Music, Drama and Expressive Arts). Securing this funding will ensure that we can work actively to support our children from&nbsp;the school by allowing them to experience a range of opportunites whilst enhancing&nbsp;their learning. The opportunities to&nbsp;engage them in the lessons and learning they are exposed to in school, but in an out of school environment will help them understand the importane of their learning and give them long lasting memories. Some additional funding will be used to supplement the in-school resources related to these subjects.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Parents for Stanley would like to apply for &pound;1000 or less to allow some of the stages of the pupils from P1 - 7 who are currently doing a STEM/ Science project or an Eco themed topic to go on an educational trip to consolidate their learning and share in environmental and science based experiences and activities.&nbsp; Alot of trips are now inexcssible to our kids as the bus costs and activity cost has rocketed and this price if the parents are asked for ther full amount will impact on them financially.&nbsp; If we got funding it would either reduce the price of the trip or it would mean there was no cost.</p>

<p>Barnardo&#39;s works with young people across North Ayrshire in a variety of services. We would like to take the young people to a Pantomime this Christmas as their Christmas activity. We did this last year with non-recurring funding so this year we are looking for support as the young people that attended last year had such a good time, they got out the house, socialised and made new friends, and had a laugh. We will take the young people for dinner before the Panto and make them up a snack bag for the show. This activity will help young people with their mential health and wellbeing and social isolation. Dates for this years Pantomime are from 1st December to 7th January.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The St. Bridget&#39;s Show Group provides the opportunity for pupils from Primary 4 to 7 to participate in a weekly after school club, to develop their skills in Music, Dance and Drama. This opportunity to expand their knowledge of the Expressive Arts also encourages communication and community as well as building the confidence of all pupils involved. The group will rehearse a Musical and perform this on stage for the rest of the school and local community.&nbsp;</p> <p>This experience not only provides the opportunity for our pupils to explore Drama, Music and Dance at a greater depth, but a chance to perform on stage in a full scale musical.&nbsp;</p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">S1-S6 young people have a chance to compete against mainland football teams from across the country in the Scottish Schools Cup, a great opportunity for island youngsters to play in competitive games.</span></span></span></p>
