Extended Pathway and disabled ramp access
No comments Irvine

With the success of our school's program and Easter and Sumner camps we now have more kids and families using our facilities. To improve the area and make it easier for disabled and small kids in prams we are looking to extend a pathway into the main car park area and make ramp access into our dressing rooms and toilet area.

With the cost of living crisis it has proved a challenge to fundraise. The team will be going to their first ever abroad tournament in Holland in March 2024.

We have done a huge amount of fundraising to cover the costs of all the boys to travel and stay in Holland.

We are applying to this fund to help cover the costs of meals, strips and a zip track top.

Eglinton Growers Allotments

Eglinton Growers Allotments would like to apply for funds to host two free events for the local community , an Easter Egg Hunt and a Santas Grotto in 2024. This will be an excellent way of bringing the community and the allotments together and show casing what is available on our site whilst providing free famility fun, invaluable in a cost of living crisis. 2023'a Easter egg hunt was an amazing success with the event providing free Easter treats for 100 children (check out our FB page photos of the joyful photos of the children taking part). and a Xmas event due to take place in Dec 20223.

We believe its important to invite local families to our beautiful site, especially in the current economical crisis for them to enjoy free family fun days without the financial worry, enabling those who simply could not afford a family day of fun with their children/granchildren within their local area.

Barnardo's Christmas Outing
No comments Irvine

Barnardo's works with young people across North Ayrshire in a variety of services. We would like to take the young people to a Pantomime this Christmas as their Christmas activity. We did this last year with non-recurring funding so this year we are looking for support as the young people that attended last year had such a good time, they got out the house, socialised and made new friends, and had a laugh. We will take the young people for dinner before the Panto and make them up a snack bag for the show. This activity will help young people with their mential health and wellbeing and social isolation. Dates for this years Pantomime are from 1st December to 7th January.

We believe that this can promote healthy mental and physical wellbeing among these young people. Through leading these extra curriculum clubs, it helps boost young people’s overall physically activity to help meet the government’s guidance of 60 minutes a day. It teaches the young people the benefits of physical activity as well as how it can improve mental wellbeing.

We also hope that in providing new sporting opportunies for young peole that they may be able to find one the enjoy or love.
