Could no longer access on closed days and can't access another due to work. Could only access Friday pm and possible Saturday's when Beith is open. Not ideal it is alternative weeks. Might not be able to collect books reserved due to new hours and only having 10 days to collect this needs to be reviewed. Reservations could take longer accessing books in closed library's. Could Thursdays not be open until 7pm?
Constituents of B&D CC can't all travel to Dalry thus they losing access on days Beith is closed. Those who work full time are now only able to access Beith every other Saturday if they commute out the town. There is no 7pm opening to allow access week days. How will people collect books as only 10 days to collect with limited access.
The impact to me would make it very difficult for me to exchange books after reading two or three books over the weekend I collect on a Friday and return Monday or Tuesday that allows me to exchange books for the rest of the week. I have arthritis so due to a very poor bus service I have to walk here. As I use a stick. By closing Mon-Tues it will almost stop me using the library at all (loss of more customers so will close the library altogether). The library is not only a gathering point for good reading materials. It has become a meeting point for many other groups i.e. computer training, mothers and toddlers, reading groups and a great place for getting bus and train timetables and having printing done. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE TOWNHOUSE PROJECT UPSTAIRS.
The proposed new hours have significant impact. With the library effectively closed for three days consecutively every other week. This limits access for people needing IT services. It is also going to be difficult to keep track of which days the library is open. It would be better to have Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday each week.
As a retired person I will still be able to access the library when the hours are reduced. However, if you decide to close Beith on a Saturday as it is only open for half a day what are people who work outside of Beith going to do? Anybody working 9-5 cannot currently access the library Mon-Fri. In addition 250 new family homes are being built in Beith. Are they going to be deprived access to a necessary facility? The library should remain open 5 days per week even if hours are reduced. I do not know which days I can visit. Being open alternate Wednesdays would be a real pain and too complicated. Let the library be open every day

If you need access to a library and do not drive it makes life very difficult
Slightly reduces ability to visit library. However staff are very good at finding books or ordering them and emailing when arrived in library
