Summary

To commission a local artist to paint a picture of our museum site at Skelmorlie in order to highlight the three PV solar panel installations to provide us with a supply of green electrical energy for our welfare and museum communication equipment and display units. Due to our site location we have no supply of mains electricity with quoted installation costs in excess of £20,000 which we were unable to fund from our limited association finances.

Description

To commision one framed oil painting of Skelmorlie Secret Bunker Museum site.

To seek the services of The Harbour Arts Centre in contacting local artists advising of this project.

To seek to encourage local artists so that the funding is spent within North Ayrshire.

To highlight in the picture the environment actions taken to minimise the use of fossil fuels in producing electricity for museum display purposes.

To help in our small way the use of fossil fuels such as petrol and diesel in carrying out carbon reduction and climate crisis actions by visual display through a picture.

Estimated costs £400 anything above this cost will be funded by our association.
