Summary
A friendly community orientated concert band in the Garnock valley, promoting music within its community and beyond . Garnock valley community concert band (GVCCB) organises concerts and fundraising events throughout the year, with a minimum of two annual concerts with local music groups and school choirs. These concerts are extremely sucessful, giving the Garnock Valley a concert band it can be truly proud of. The band participates in outdoor, local events and fundraising oportunities - enabling them to participate in the National Concert Band Festival .This has been an award winning venture ,gaining a platinum award at the 2023 NCBF , and a gold plus award at the 2023 SCBF in Perth .
GVCCB wants to encourage music throughout its locality- known to promote health and wellbeing especially within this rural community.
We are looking to further promote the band by purchasing promotional goods such as banners, buy music to add to our existing library, and to replenish our music stands as many are in need of repair

By purchasing banners to promote the band at fundraising events. This will give the band a better presence , and encourage musicians from the area to come forward .

We are in need of new music stands, and music to add to our library. The band is now of a high standard , but easier , more welcoming pieces are necessary in our library to invite less experienced players, or players returning after a long break We would also like to purchase some music to highlight the abilities of the sections within the band

This Band is growing in number and standard of performance hence we are in need of more stands and more sheet music at higher grades. This year we gained a platinum award for the second year in a row after just starting back October 30 2022. We now have 40 musicians on register and attending regularly.
