Kilwinning Rangers 2013's are a community club, who are proud to offer our young children the opportunity to participate in football. We are striving to give our team as many opportunities to grow as footballers and people however, we recognise the financial challenges facing our team and their families.
We have great ideas on improving the opportunities for our players and their families but unfortunately we do not have the finances to make these dreams a reality. Many of the parents of our players are unable to drive and we have hired busses in the past to help them transport their kid to games and tournaments. However, this is very expensive and has taken money away from buying much needed equipment for example.
A successful application would allow us to improve the experience we currently offer to our team and take the finiancial burden away from the parents.
Description
We are requesting this grant to allow us to Introduce a number of initiatives that will boost the physical and mental health of our young children and their parents.
Fitness is a key part in being able to be at your best on a football field, therefore, we are very keen to link up with a local gym to hold regular fitness sessions for our young players and their parents. We know that regular exercise is a key ingredient to boosting your mental health and we feel that this initiative will boost the self esteem of our players and their parents. This will also help to build on parent and child relationships with one another as well as with other parents and young people in the football team. This will help further enhance the community feel of our club and ensure that everyone feels like they belong.
Estimated cost: 1 team session per month £150
Football trips and camps – we would love to give our parents and young players the opportunity to experience football trips and camps out with our local community. Many of the most successful teams in the UK host regular camps/tours and workshops which are aimed at people who are keen to make a career in the game. This initiative will allow them the experience what it takes to be a top athlete and educate them in what it takes to get to the top of this professional sport. The money will be used to ensure that all young people are able to take part and no one will be left behind. This will take the burden often felt by parents and allow young people to have the same experiences regardless of their parents financial income.

Equipment – here are Kilwinning Rangers 2013s club, we are always striving to deliver training that uses the latest technology, such as video analysis and analytics. We are keen to bring this equipment into our training to provide important feedback to our players in order to allow them to grow as players. We are also keen to provide our young players with top of the range training equipment such as; footballs, boots, cones and goals. The current resources we have are dated and well used which does our team a disservice. We would like to support all young people within our team to reach their potential and remove any barriers, we would therefore like to provide all our players with football boots. This removes any stigma around not being able to afford the same as others and allows all of our young people to feel part of the football community.
