Whiting Bay Primary Parent Council Sensory Garden

Sensory gardens include features, surfaces, objects and plants that stimulate our senses through touch, sight, scent, taste and hearing.

They are places that can be designed with many different purposes in mind. They can be calming with scented plants and restful seating, an area for growing tasty food and for wildlife friendly plants, a therapeutic space for children and a learning zone full of exciting things to touch and smell.

Sensory gardens are of great benefit to children's health and well-being, the seasonal aspect of growing is educational and the validation in seeing your hard work come to fruition is wonderful. Starting children on their ecologically friendly through life.

Radio Studio improvements

3TFM broadcasts programmes to the 3 Towns and beyond, from its base at the Frank Sweeney building in Ardrossan. We would like to upgrade some of our studio equipment to enable us to interview guests live on air, and to prerecord interviews. This would enable us to expand on our health and wellbeing output by producing more programmes containing health and wellbeing features with advice and information from local experts, and stories from local people.
