<p>Cafe Solace Kilbirnie and Kilbirnie and Glengarnock Community Association are starting a community garden where the food grown will be used to make our low cost, nutritious meals at the community centre, we are also looking to install security cameras and install addional parking facillities.</p>

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Friends of Trindlemoss and Bourtreehill and Broomlands Community Association would like to hold events on the 5th and 6th of April 2024 just after Easter. The events would be multiculture event to welcome the new Scots to our country. A celebration of the new Scots moving into the area The two organisations would like for the people of Ayrshire to sample the foods from different cultures for the Syrian Shawarma, Manakish, Falafel to name a few the Afghanistan national dish of Kabuli pulae, Ashak Dumplings the Polish dishes like schabowy, mushroom and cabbage pierogi or sernik and Ukrainian dishes like borshch,varenyky, chicken kyiv not forgetting our own good old Scottish food getting the haggis tatties and neeps, scotch pies, Cullen skink. We want to offer the people of Ayrshire and the new Scots two afternoons of free fun having bouncy castles and fun fairs at both events so the children and adults have fun candyfloss, popcorn also market stalls selling arts and hand-crafted wares. we also want to include a canny cooker demonstration.</span></span></p>

<p>Radio City Association are working to provide cooking skills to combat the cost of living crisis. All participants are provided with free ingredients to prepare all meals and instructed with highly qualified and charismatic chef on basic cooking skills. We offer two levels of cooking class with one offering basic introduction for those who have no experience cooking and also a more intermediate class allowing for people with more experience cooking to prepare more cost effective meals.</p> <p>The cooking lessons offer a relaxed, fun and interactive environment, with participants learning how to prepare cost-effective fresh and healthy meals with new cooking skills, developing other skills including teamwork, and also providing a place for interaction and tackling isolation. We work with the George Steven Community hub in delivering the classes who opearte community meals service and wider food poverty alleviation.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>

This inspirational training is changing the lives of so many including the amazing people that support people with dementia.</p> <p>When a person that has dementia has finally been diagnosed, we must give the support team around them a true understanding of what they are experiencing and what they experience during their future dementia journey. The Virtual Dementia Tour is a vital bridge to entering their world, it is unlike any training course available and challenges the misconceptions surrounding dementia.</p> <p>The Virtual Dementia Tour is available for your staff, families and anyone that comes in to direct or indirect contact with people living with dementia.</p>
