Irvine youth legacy centre (IYLC) aim to alleviate the impact of the cost of living crisis on young people in North Ayrshire. Our project will provide essential refreshments - juice/water, pot noodles, and a snack to every young person who attends our six day a week program. Recognising that many young people face increased financial strain at home, this initiative ensures they have access to basic sustenance while particpating in our activities.Project Description
IYLC is requesting £1000 to address the impact of the cost of living crisis on young people in North Ayrshire. This project will provide essential refreshments to every young person attending our six day a week progarm, ensuring they have access to basic sustenance. Many young people are experiencing increased financial strain at home, making it difficult to afford even the basic necessities. This initiative will alleviate hunger and stress, enbaling them to fully particpate in our activities and benefit from the support and oppertunities we offer. By providing these provisions, we create a more welcoming and inclusive environment, encourging consistent attendance and engagment.
Cost Breakdown-
Juice/Water = £250 - this will cover the cost of providing a variety of juice and water options to snure hydration.
Pot Noodles/Food = £500- A quick and filling option to help provide a warm meal.
Snacks = £250 - offering a small treat or savory snack to provide a bit of enjoyment and energy.
This funding will directly enhance the well-being of our member, helping them navigate the challenges posed by the current economic climate, It will suppoty their phycial and emothional needs, allowing them to focus on personal development, community engagment and acheiving positive outcomes. The project will run for the duration of the funding, with ongoing monitoring to ensure effective resource allocation and maximum impact.
