Community togetherness - Irvine Pipe Band
1 comment Irvine
Irvine Pipe Band would like to get new equipment for training and uniforms for members of the band who are not able to afford their own equipment. The project will link people up from all walks of life including New Scots as well as others from across North Ayrshire who share a passion for Scottish music. The band provides an opportunity for people to boost their mental health and wellbeing by making new friends and taking up an instrument completely free of charge.

We are a friendly community club supporting over 50s with loneliness and mental well-being. With 52 members, we offer quizzes, bingo, and social outings. We hope to organise special events for Valentine’s Day and Easter, as well as bus trips, helping our members connect and enjoy life together. Funding will ensure these activities are free and accessible for everyone.

Castlepark Community Garden Project is situated in Castlepark at the back of Castlepark Community Centre. The project is looked after and run by Catlepark centre. The project is run by people with learning disabilities who look after the garden and maintain the grounds round the centre by litter picking and keeping the garden open to the public and keeping the garden clean and tidy. The volunteers who work in the garden also volunteer in the cafe and the older people lunch club every Tuesday.
