Children 1st staff member is applying on behalf of our group. Our Coffee and Connect group was created in 2023 and is aimed at supporting parents and carers within the local community. Over that past few years the group has grown and has consistently met weekly during term time within the Children First space in Bourtreehill. Meeting here has allowed us to build strong relationships and offer peer support to one another.

Kilbirnie and Glengarnock Age Concern has been active for over 50 years and aims to provide the elderly within our community with the opportunity to socialise and participate in activities that benefit their wellbeing and reduce social isolation. Since covid this has become even more important as many people have become more isolated and have a fear of going out. We meet weekly in Bridgend Community centre and aim to provide excursions twice a year.

St Winin’s Over 60’S Club meets each Thursday throughout the year to allow older people to connect with others and enjoy a whole range of engaging and fun activities. The club aims to reduce social isolation and provide a safe and welcoming space where older people feel included and valued. Our club encourages group members to meet new people, enjoy a chat in the good company of others. The club is open to anyone over the age of 60 and has a long-standing commitment to supporting older people

We are launching a new project offering free and subsidised trips and activities for neurodivergent families and carers in the North Coast. Designed by our dedicated volunteers and members to improve wellbeing, community spirit, and promote financial inclusion. We have raised £900 to date and seek £1000 from the PB to help make our project a reality. Including animal handling sessions, family craft events, a trip to Culzean Castle, Edinburgh Zoo VIP lantern experience, and a carers lunch.
Vennel Friends Discovery Group

The Vennel Friends Discovery Group meet weekly in the Vennel Gardens and helps older people come together to meet new people and try a whole host of activities while working towards a recognised award. Our group is open to anyone over the age of 50. We participate in a wide range of activities that promote the health and wellbeing of our group members. The group provides a safe and welcoming place for older people to connect socially which helps to combat loneliness and isolation.

The Committee aims to provide social events for residents of Vennel Gardens and wider community members to help reduce social isolation and enhance the health and wellbeing of our over 50's. The group has been active for over two years now and has over 50 members who have taken part in various social activities such as bus outings, live entertainment afternoons and lunch clubs.

These events are great for older folk who enjoy the these days and interact with others out with their normal circle whether large or small.
Ripple Effect Saltcoats - Melbourne Public Park - Regeneration

Ripple Effect Saltcoats (RES) are seeking funding to purchase a 10ft x 8ft storage container. This container will be used onsite at Melbourne Public Park as an office / store / base from which to operate and distribute the relevant sports equipment and other accessories needed for the new 18 hole putting green, the target bowls rinks, the giant chess and draughts board and possible table tennis table. This container is an integral part of Ripple Effect's future plans.
