Kilbirnie and Glengarnock Age Concern has been active for over 50 years and aims to provide the elderly within our community with the opportunity to socialise and participate in activities that benefit their wellbeing and reduce social isolation. Since covid this has become even more important as many people have become more isolated and have a fear of going out. We meet weekly in Bridgend Community centre and aim to provide excursions twice a year.

Bypass Art community group will be out and about over the next twelve months to raise awareness and gather support for the Bessie On The Bypass public art project. We are seeking funds to purchase, a gazebo, branded fleeces for our group members and promotional items that will spotlight, highlight and publicise this creative initiative.

We are a community larder that helps people facing food insecurity to access various food items at a low cost to enable them to have access to food as well as allowing them to use the money saved for other things during the ever rising cost of living.

Relocation of Men's Shed Dalry

To seek funding for the purchase of essential equipment to establish and maintain a polytunnel as part of our youth development project. The initiative aims to provide young people with hands-on experience in horticulture, sustainability, teamwork, and healthy living, while strengthening community engagement.

We are a small nursery in Dalry, with a parent run committee. We are applying for funding to purchase outdoor resources i.e. clothing and equipment. The appropriate outdoor clothing will ensure children have equal access regardless of familys financial situation, promotes inclusion, encourages outdoor play in all weathers and enhances learning opportunities. Outdoor learning is such a fantastic way for children to learn as it boots confidence and supports mental and physical wellbeing.

A safe space for women, combining creative activities, peer support and community connection to improve mental health and wellbeing. We hope to reduce social isolation, by giving opportunities to connect, grow and thrive together.

This allows ladies and gents over 50 to connect with others while they enjoy quizzes , chocolate bingo and other fun activities. Many of the people who attend live by themselves and this group reduces isolation,promotes positive mental health,encourages and supports friendships and interests. The club means so much to its members and has a real impact on people’s lives in a positive way.

We are local Spots club who run a kayaking and canoe club from kilbirnie loch . We have an age range from 8yrs to adults . Everyone is encouraged to come along and join in and try different skills be it canoeing , kayaking , water boarding etc Hence creating a friendly environment where people are comfortable to try new things . It’s a fantastic way to make friends , stay fit , and learn life saving skills .
