The D.I.S.C. (Determination, independence, Strive, Confidence) Award is a group of adults who meet weekly on a Wednesday morning in Ardrossan. Our group is made up of individuals who are looking to be reintegrated back into the community having spent time in the criminal justice system. The group started off as a cooking group but has now developed into structured sessions through an adaptation of the over 50's Discovery Award Group.

Songs and rhymes are used to promote early speech development and language skills. Baby sensory classes allow babies and caregivers to bond and form attachments and is an excellent way to communicate with babies.

We are a group of retirees, mostly in our 70's and 80's who practice yoga weekly. We are also a social and support group, offering support to one another in times of stress, loneliness and/or isolation. We would like to organise a theatre trip in early 2026 to help combat winter blues.

Ripple Effect Saltcoats (RES) intend to reintroduce putting, bowling, chess, draughts and table tennis to Melbourne Public Park. We see the introduction of these fun outdoor pastimes as fundamental to the future of the park. Not only are they healthy open air pursuits but by targetting families, individuals, schools and local groups, these activities can help in peoples Health and Well-being. Ripple Effect Saltcoats see Melbourne Public Park as the thriving leisurely place it once was.
