"The Stevenston North Community Association's goal is to host events that promote social interaction and benefit local residents. We plan to provide a Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and entertainment for local people 50+   Additionally, we will host a Free Santa Event with free food and entertainment for local kids. We are residents of Saltcoats High Flats and meet on a weekly basis. We are an older community of people with a varying mobility needs and general abilities. Many of us live by ourselves. We created our afternoon club to foster community spirit, reduce isolation and help each other out. We would like to apply for funding to help with days out.

The project supports people living with dementia to enjoy 1-2-1 befriending, provide companionship within their home, or attend one of our dementia wellbeing cafes.

Food & Heat is going to be the topic of our winter campaign for the community. We run the community cafe in the centre which is open 5 days a week 7.30am until 4.30pm. The centre would like to supply hot soup with a roll, or a hot meal & a hot drink 3 times a week to take a wee bit of pressure off in the winter.

The number of participants and young people has grown this year and there is an urgent requirement for more microphones so that everyone can be heard.

Argyle Community Shop operates on a Wednesday from 11am - 4pm supporting local households with access to food and a holistic range of supports to manage the cost of living crisis. We are open to all residents of Saltcoats who can provide proof of address and give a warm, friendly welcome to everyone who comes along.

We are a small non-profit group, passionate about preventing suicide in their local community by raising awareness of suicide support services while reducing stigma around suicide.
