It will encourage participants to think creatively, discover new talents/skills and build confidence. We would like to expand the community orchard at Holm Plantation in Ardrossan. We planted the first 50 fruit trees in the orchard there recently and would use PB funding to add an additional 27 apple trees. The community orchard will help address the climate challenge by reducing food miles and sequestering carbon, and will make local people healthier by providing them with free fresh fruit.

Requested Amount: £990

As part of the Scottish wildlife pioneer project, we will like to transform an unused part of the allotment into and alchemist trail. This will promote an active and healthy way of learning. Developing the area will encourage active exercise, improve good mental health, reduce social isolation and build confidence.  It will also be a fun way to learning about foraging. Developing this trail will also be another addition to our allotment tour. Our tour at this time includes our honey bees, pipistrelle bats as well as fruit and vegetable growing.
