Summary
Description
This will be a project by young adults for young adults. It will bring them together in a safe space to work on technical/artistic ideas both individually and collaboratively. It will encourage participants to think creatively, discover new talents/skills and build confidence. The money would be used to purchase hardware, software, tools and equipment to facilitate this project in its early stages. Some ideas could possibly range from 3D design and printing to a world changing invention!
Laptop - £300 Subscriptions (including graphic design packages, etc) - £250 Tools & Materials (drills, crafting knives, soldering iron, glue gun) - £250 Safety Equipment including First Aid Kit (goggles, gloves, ear defenders, etc) - £100

Proposed on behalf of: This project is around the idea of creating Maker Space. A Maker Space is a community-operated workspace where people with common interests, such as computers, machining, technology, science, digital art, electronic art and more traditional crafts can meet, socialize, and collaborate. This project is open to young adults aged 16 - 25 years living in Stevenston, Saltcoats, Ardrossan (Three Towns).
