Ayrshire College plays a vital role in delivering Irvine’s Priorities by widening access to education and skills training, the college tackles inequalities and empowers young people to thrive. It’s Future Skills Hub and school-college partnerships align learning with local business needs, driving employment and economic growth. Through student support services and inclusive teaching, Ayrshire College strengthens health and wellbeing and community projects build resilience and participation.

North Ayrshire Council's Employability & Skills Team offers programs like Your Next Move, Working North Ayrshire, providing free support for CVs, interviews, skills training (like Microsoft Office), and securing jobs or work placements for adults, partnering with organisations such as CEIS Ayrshire and We Work for Families. The North Ayrshire Nature Network (NANN) strategy was approved in March 2025. It will help to tackle the twin crises of climate change and biodiversity loss. It aims to create connected habitats, pollinator corridors, and community engagement opportunities across all six localities, including Irvine. We are working on developing the North Ayrshire Nature Network and identifying locations that can become part of the NANN. We also want to identify project ideas that benefit wildlife and people and then support community groups and stakeholders to undertake these projects.
