I would like to see a dedicated family and youth wellbeing hub in Kilwinning. Somewhere children, teenagers and families could access mental health and wellbeing support, youth activities, additional support needs groups, parent/carer support and advice without having to wait until they reach crisis point. It could also provide a safe place for teenagers to socialise and offer quieter, smaller activities for neurodivergent children who may struggle with mainstream groups. Having different services together in one welcoming local place would make support much easier for families to find and access.
Mcgavin park is great and the changes were amazing! But I think if McGavin park had like an actual climbing freame with a good slide, say lke a pirate ship or something like that, I visited Wishaw Ravenscraig and it had a great climbing area, as well as the new park at fife it was very neurodicergent inclusive.
