Cost, transport, childcare and a lack of opportunities locally can all prevent people from taking part. There can also be barriers for people with disabilities, anxiety, autism, ADHD or other additional support needs, where an opportunity may technically be available but isn't genuinely accessible to them. Lack of confidence and being out of work or education for a long time can make this even harder.
We could remove some of these barriers by providing more free or affordable opportunities locally, help with childcare and travel, flexible or online options, and better support for people with additional needs. Services should also work together so people know what support is available and don't have to navigate everything themselves

Kilwinning is great for transport and people able to get about as you can get to various locations.
