A plan to develop unused ground around Nethermains. The area between Almswall Rd and the river has a large plantation of trees that are not maintained. This was planted by IDC and the pattern of planting can be seen from a Google satellite map. This could be restored and would make a much better environment for people. Easily accessed by people walking between Eglinton Park and the town centre.
Kilwinning would benefit from better maintenance of streets, paths and green spaces, more regular litter picking and more bins, particularly in areas where people walk dogs or young people gather. Parks and play areas should be maintained and improved, with more facilities for older children and teenagers as well as younger children. The town centre could also be made more attractive with greenery, planting, better upkeep and action on neglected or empty areas. Improving lighting and making walking and cycling routes feel safer would encourage more people to get outdoors and take pride in the area.
Dog poo bins , dog poo wardens so children can walk safely on paths and grass areas.
More little green football parks in green areas.

Members of the public actually tidying up after themselves. People try but there are groups that dont try
get rid of fly tipping and dog fouling
I think people should support each other more. I feel most people leave things to others and don’t get involved but would be the first to complain
