Consultation process
NANN - North Coast and Cumbrae Locality5. What opportunities are there for NANN to help grow the local green economy and deliver economic growth?
- Could the NANN be a tourist attraction, with people spending their leisure time exploring and enjoying nature across North Ayrshire?
- Would this encourage people to spend more time and money at local businesses across North Ayrshire?
yes, very vague
more toilet (or better) along established routes (eg along largs front towards marina)
would like more facilities for waste local surplus, locally grown so locally pollinated for local bees
yes it would certainly be a a great benefit for attracting local businesses and investing a broader understanding and care for wildlife. how about developing an apiary?
largs has come up a but with the shops, lack of parking though
helping people to understand the importance of looking after the planet
honesty boxes at nature hides, using income generated to benefit wildlife sites-transparency where income goes
more items to attract tourists, regular markets, benches and cafes
largs popular/tourists things to do(workshop) in summer
Big idea - could be nature/bird reserve and bird hub
