Consultation process
NANN - Three Towns Locality4. How can the North Ayrshire Nature Network (NANN) provide local opportunities for education and green skills development?
For example:
- could the NANN provide an outdoor learning experience for school children, young people and our wider communities?
- how could the NANN be used to develop green skills like wildlife tourism, land management, ecologists, countryside rangers?
start as young as possible. educate that chips come from a potato. get kids to allotments. we shouldn't be fighting nature
forest school would be ideal
learning how to grow own food, teach in schools, holiday projects for all ages
going to schools, all age groups, encourage reduction in use of pesticides
outdoor learning would be great
these events (Duck Day), community involvement
outdoor learning
more community funded programmes. sponsoring trees (plant, nurture, pick) fruit to grow freely. teaching to identify plants
education in libraries. engage with kids. engage with adults
it needs to have more joined up approach. no one knows at rest of year. could do beach cleans
