Consultation process
NANN - Irvine Locality5. What opportunities are there for NANN to help grow the local green economy and deliver economic growth?
- Could the NANN be a tourist attraction, with people spending their leisure time exploring and enjoying nature across North Ayrshire?
- Would this encourage people to spend more time and money at local businesses across North Ayrshire?
eglinton park and beach park - cutting grass 'cut and lift' , dog poo not being picked up, weeds in kerbs -long grass near parks and roads
nature activity for kids to attend, not as far out as eglinton park as dont have a car to drive , access to nature harder.
maybe teaching kids and parents about what plants are edible.learning about vegetables and fruit.reuse goods to build raise beds.not encourage pesticides
tourism - greenspaces -businesses could do their bit and encourage people to spend
people buy home grown produce-use community gardening to do this
work experience days, more volunteer conservation, volunteer experience
do something with the 'Big Idea' -could be a main central hub. our protected area, gardening sessions, big centre for climate with environment theme
instead of planting flowers at roundabouts, plant vegetables.give patched of land to community, guerrilla gardening
definitely could be a tourist attraction to build on within NAC
posters, highlight importance of nature and our beautiful area
