  • Today I came to change books - if library (new proposed time) was closed, I wouldn't have been able to. This is my ONLY contact with others today so if library had not been open it would contribute to my mental wellbeing. I came to use the computer and other services today and if library had been closed this would have been very inconvenient

    • As a recent widow and newcomer to the area the library has been a welcoming, happy place. I look forward to my regular library visits and if I was to turn up and find it closed this could have an adverse effect on me. I sincerely hope the proposals of closing Stevenston on some days and changing hours does NOT happen. Stevenston Library has a lot going on for varying ages. Any changes (unless increasing it's hours) will be detrimental to the community. Not everyone wants or has a kindle. In today's society face to face contact is vital for peoples mental health and wellbeing. I feel strongly the library hours should not be cut.

      • Library not open will probably mean I'll not come down into Stevenston Cross

          • It gets me out and I meet people as I have started the knitting group, helps me to find and learn to knit and crochet which I do for charity.

            • My wife has macular degeneration and the library is a lifeline. She attends the knitting club and has done so for at least 10 years

              • It would have a great negative impact on me. I look forward to Tuesday afternoon at the knitting group. I don't understand why Stevenston Library has to be affected because it's supposed to be a community library so why?
